We get a lot of Bergen looks like Travis comments...but I can't help but think he actually looks a lot like my baby pictures. These are pictures of me, what do you think?

Two Months Old

Our baby is 2 months old!
He now weighs 11 lbs. 4 oz. and is 23 inches long.
I tell him everyday to stop growing so fast.
It's fun to see him be more alert and observant to the things around him. He's started following toys and moving objects, and watches us move around the room.
Bergen likes to have company. He sits pretty content as long as someone is close by. He lays on the floor next to Travis while he works on his hobbies, and Bergen's favorite place to be while we are eating (if he's not asleep) is in the bouncer on the table...he can't see what we're eating if the bouncer is on the floor and that's not as interesting, at least that's my theory.
He is a pro now at falling asleep in his crib by himself. Yea! I think I have the best of both worlds. I snuggle with him for a bit until he's sleepy but still awake, then I put him in bed and without any fuss he falls asleep. I'm very happy about him learning this skill!
Despite his ability to go sleep on his own, I was taking my sweet time on the computer one night while holding Bergen. He couldn't wait for his bed any longer and did fall asleep in my arms. It's doesn't look that comfy, but he does look cute :)
Bergen's favorite way to sleep is arms up. I always wrap him up tight as can be, and he wiggles and pulls until at least one of his arms are out.

4th of July

The Olivers came to visit us again over the 4th of July weekend. My brother-in-law is a huge baseball fan, so naturally we went to a Rangers game and watched the fireworks they had after the game. It was VERY hot but very fun!

Bergen at his first baseball game (course at this age he is still having a lot of "firsts").
The action was still a little too far away for him to see, so he took turns sitting with mommy and daddy.
The hat is a little big, but he wanted to be like cousin Joshua :) And yes, he's asleep, very asleep! Bergen woke up again near the end of the game and stayed awake for the fireworks. I was kind of surprised how much of them he watched. I wondered if the loud bangs would bother him but they didn't. I did hold him very close and covered his ears during the finale, but even that didn't seem to phase him.
Rangers stadium after the game. I carried Bergen in the Snugli to and from the stadium. Our seats were so high up, but the time we wound our way down to ground level he was out cold again and stayed that way until we got home.
The Olivers (my sister Helen, Brant, and Joshua) and the Lintons. Thanks Olivers for the visit and fun activities. Can't wait to hang out again! Are you sure you don't want to stay in Texas??? I'm just saying :)

Swimming

When it's this hot, there's only so much you can do. So when Travis gets home from work we pack up and head to the pool. Bergen hasn't gone "swimming" yet, but I did put his feet in the water once...the funny, scrunched up face tells me he wasn't a fan. He does like to sit on our lap and look around, but mostly he likes to nap in his stroller. Either way I think he's a good little boy and fun to take out!
