Tuesday Bergen was playing outside...in shorts. He was doing a great job on the chalkboard.
Thursday morning we did our grocery shopping because that's when the fridge and pantry said we needed it do with. Without realizing what the weather was doing, that evening an ice storm came through and everything was beginning to ice up. By Friday morning we were completely iced in. It was one of those memorable ice storms that almost completely shut down the metroplex. Except for Travis, poor guy had to go to work still :( Crazy! Despite the ice, the empty grocery store shelves, church being cancelled, and the extreme cold, Bergen didn't not waste any time making his own fun outdoors. He would play in shifts because he had to come in to de-thaw his poor little hands. It looks like soft fluffy snow, but it was solid ice! Owen wanted to go out so badly but I really didn't want to go out with him, so he just had to watch from the window. The one time I did make it outside with Bergen we were sledding down the neighbors driveway in a box, and another neighbor boy ice skated down the middle of the street. It was awesome!
After a few days Bergen took the camera out to take a few pictures. He came back in to show me his work. He did a fantistic job capturing the entire yard. Almost 100 pictures worth! When I saw the counter and figured out it was that may I cracked up. I did not save all of them but here are a few.
